A German based global leader in the field of electrical control/
industrial automation wanted to determine advertising effectiveness,
buying priorities, and supplier preferences among Canadian industrial
plant managers, procurement executives and engineers.
Solution
MarketConsult partnered with Plant Newspaper, a leading Canadian
trade publication, to launch an e-mail survey to industry and manufacturing
executives and purchasers.
Results
For a fraction of the cost of a mail/ phone survey, MarketConsult's
email survey proved invaluable in revealing brand awareness and
market attitudes about the firm. The firm discovered that 3 of their
direct competitors were better known and more widely recognized
than they were. They also ranked poorly in terms of customer preferences
and perceptions of performance. Dissapointed by the findings, the
client used this learning to ramp up their marketing efforts in
order to change customer perceptions.
